Directed by Guo Xiang, INVISIBLE LOVE is set in 1930’s French Indochina and is the tale of Nurse Nguyen Thi Hoa (Hoang Thi Bich Phuong) who loves American physician James Marquis (Kazy Tauginas), but is also oblivious to the shame she feels and thus cannot stay with him. In addition, Marquis sees an opportunity to become a colonial army soldier, but this is also going to have an impact on his relationship with Thi Hoa…..

Director Guo Xiang is a member of the China Television Artists Association and China Photographers Association and is also the former President of Beijing Digital Film and Television Academy. One of his works, the feature film LOST IN VIETNAM, was honoured at the 8th Australian International Film Festival.

In addition, Xiang produced the documentary series ‘UNFORGETTABLE FANG YI” which won the 2019 Best Documentary Award of China National Broadcasting

INVISIBLE LOVE is very reflective of what the Festival represents and is one of several key films championed by Festival Director Jenna Suru, who is keen to cultivate change around the world through the medium of films and film-making via the Paris International Film Festival.

Suru has assembled an incredible slate of premieres and short films, a Festival Jury featuring some of the most diverse and talented group of creatives working in the media today, among them SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE writer Jeff Arch, Bobby Roth, Dakore Egbuson-Akande and Jeff Rivera.

In addition, there will be networking and interactive panels which should more than satisfy the most passionate of film fans across the globe. The Festival is truly designed to welcome one and welcome all regardless of whether you saw a film for the first time ever yesterday, or whether you are a veteran of umpteen films in front of and behind the camera.
