Identity perception and a fair amount of credit card theft are the mandate for a trans rocker in the new short drama FRAUD.

Singing for her supper is not keeping one trans individual in beer and pizza, so credit cards are the solution. Using other people’s wares to get items online and then sell for cash seems to be going OK, but then she meets a like-minded individual stranger who seems to know a bit more, if not as much as, she does…..

Zen Pace’s short and tight drama subverts trans expectations whilst providing a satisfying narrative.

About the film and film-makers:

Director Zen Pace’s debut narrative short FRAUD starring Dana Aliya Levinson (STARZ’s American Gods) and Babak Tafti (Showtime’s Super Pumped), subverts the crime thriller genre by centering marginalized characters grappling with identity, love, and immigrant experiences. Levinson also wrote this timely tale.

The Tribeca Film Festival is FRAUD’s World Premiere and the film is screening in competition.

Dana and Zen are a queer creative duo who met in an AA meeting and became sober together. They found a healing space in each other’s creativity and through this bond they formed an artistic partnership.
